Ashton Kutcher Gets Punk\'d In My Boss\'s Daughter
When Tom finally finds the courage to bring his ideas to Taylor, he becomes even more intimidated as he sees firsthand how the boss treats a colleague for bringing up a new idea.
To make things worse, when the Taylor’s secretary makes horribly tasking coffee, she gets fired when the boss misinterprets Tom’s advice. Although Tom has some great ideas that would really move the company ahead, understandably, he is less than eager about sharing them with Taylor.
Poor Tom, until he notices Lisa Taylor (played by Tara Reid) while in the subway. After encouragement from a coworker, he approaches her. Tom thinks things are going to turn around when Lisa asks him to come over to her house.
His excitement is short lived when he discovers she wants him to housesit while she heads off with her boyfriend. On top of this — she is the boss’s daughter.
Now Tom finds out that the boss is also extremely particular about his home. Visitors aren’t allowed, and everything, including his pet owl, has to be cared for to the utmost. Of course everything that can go wrong does go wrong.
The just fired secretary drops in and takes over the house. The boss’s son, who mingles in crime and who actually has a restraining order from his own father, drops by. The house gets damaged, but worst of all, the owl escapes.
The film is hilarious — especially given the fact that besides Ashton Kutcher's performance on "That Seventies Show," he is best known for his own show, “Punked.”
In this reality-based show, Kutcher masterminds and presents a huge problem to fellow celebrities. The catch is that they don't know their reactions are being filmed. At the end of the show, they find out the entire situation was a setup and a practical joke. In “My Boss’ Daughter,” Ashton's character basically gets “punked” himself.
This romantic comedy is actually quite funny. As Kutcher himself said, the film probably won't win any Oscars. But it will give the viewer an enjoyable evening out.
Tom Stansfield (played by Ashton Kutcher) is a shy, but bright advertising executive, who works for a huge company. The company is headed up by Jack Taylor (played by Terrence Stamp), a tyrant and relentless perfectionist who fires his employees for the smallest infractions.
