When the "popular girls" take advantage of Jenna, leaving her in the closet
waiting for a "cute guy," all she finds is disappointment. Instead of enjoying
the one friend that she does have, she throws him out. But before she tosses
him on his ear, he built a beautiful dollhouse for her and gave her some “wishing”
dust. When Jenna spills the wishing dust, she makes a wish that she would be
30 years old.
What a surprise when she wakes up the next morning in an apartment in Manhattan
— where she lives with her boyfriend. Not knowing who or what this guy is, Jenna
runs in her pajamas out into the street, thinking that the guy is some sort
of freak. Her co-worker, one of her "popular classmates" is waiting downstairs
with a car to take her to work.
Jenna is now a 13-year-old in the body of a 30-year-old woman. Everything
is confusing to her; she has no idea what is going on. Who is she? And her job
is no help — she is the editor of a major magazine.
The film was lighthearted and funny. It brought to light the old saying, "Be
careful what you wish for, you might end up getting it."
The film emphasizes the love of a parent, an important message for children
of all ages, but especially for teens who tend to treasure friends more than
family.
In the end Jenna learns that what she really wanted, she already has. It is
right in front of her.
Teen Drama On The Big Screen

invites the most popular girls to the celebration, but is embarrassed about her
